What to expect?

Initial Assessment:

A typical initial Chiropractic consultation will include a thorough case history which allows the Chiropractor to obtain valuable information regarding your medical history such as the duration and onset of your condition, past surgeries or accidents and an understanding of your current health status.

After reviewing your history a thorough orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic examination is performed.

X-rays/MRI scans or blood tests might be required to confirm your diagnosis. Your Chiropractor will refer you for these procedures if necessary.

Second Visit

The findings of your examinations are explained and a plan of Chiropractic care will be recommended.

The specific techniques chosen will depend on your age, condition and comfort levels.

A corrective procedure called an adjustment may be performed, either by hand, or using a specialized instrument, to free up joints in the spine or other areas of the body that the Chiropractor feels that are not moving properly.

Other therapies including ice, heat, ultrasound, joint mobilisation, joint manipulation, traction, soft tissue work and exercises are also used. You will also be given information about lifestyle changes and nutrition.

CAI Chiropractors are highly trained professionals and have a range of techniques to suit individuals from newborn babies to the elderly.

Follow Up Appointments

Patients will be required to have a series of treatments to fully restore health. On average most patients will receive

8-12 treatments over a 2-3 month period.

Chiropractic is all about making long term health changes to make sure you stay pain free for as long as possible.
